Welcome to Peppertree Pottery.

I’ve been a maker of pottery for what seems like a very long time. I’d been a Potter for about 12 years when I finally considered myself to be an artist and able to make a bit of a living with my work. Over many of those years, I had the privilege of working with, learning from, and hopefully sharing with so many gifted and talented people who influenced my work and guided me through my growth as an artist and business owner.

Now in Lorain, Ohio (again after more than 38 years), I have my own studio, and for the first time, it’s in my home. As you may have noticed, I’ve also gone back to my “Ohio” name, Lissi. This is where I grew up and where my family is. Most people here know me as that alter ego.

My work continues to be an eclectic collection of functional, decorative and whimsical pottery with the aim of bringing happiness to the viewer/user. With the pandemic changing our communities and the way we do business, I’m trying curbside sales, a fancy term for yard sales. Look for upcoming events on my Facebook and Instagram pages.

I was so honored to have been featured on Detroit Performs (Season 8, Episode 2) on Detroit Public TV! Watch the segment featuring artist, Leslie Greeneisen!

As the Program Director for the Plymouth Community Arts Council, I had the privilege of being a co-director for this joint project between the PCAC, the Village Potters Guild, Pewabic Pottery and Plymouth Township in Plymouth, MI. The community art project now located in the lobby of the Township Hall, produced a tile mural measuring 7 feet x 11 feet. More than 400 people participated in making the 500 plus tiles for this beautiful piece of public art.
